Junior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our organization as a Junior Quality Assurance Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and focusing particularly on database testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Plan Development: Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.
  • Database Testing: Conduct extensive database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and performance issues using tools like Jira or Bugzilla.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Testing Types: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational software development and testing standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in software testing (Freshers with strong knowledge are welcome to apply).
  • SDLC Understanding: Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software Development & Testing Life Cycle).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Manual Testing
  • Automation Testing using tools like Selenium or Cypress
  • Database Testing using SQL
  • Bug Tracking using tools like Jira or Bugzilla
  • Agile Methodologies: Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
