Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced software quality assurance specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies, automation development, and close collaboration with development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues

Test Automation

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar)
  • Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines
  • Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
  • Maintain test automation frameworks and improve test coverage

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
  • Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective
  • Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience is required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance is required
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) is required
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured) is highly recommended
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) is preferred

Testing Expertise

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes is required
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches is necessary
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
  • Understanding of database testing and SQL queries is essential
  • Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS/Android) is preferred

Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality are necessary
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are required
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing projects is expected
  • Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are highly recommended
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Knowledge of security testing principles is beneficial
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred
