Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified professional to join our Employment Law practice in India.

This is a high-visibility role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, advisory-heavy environment and is ready to take the lead on complex employment law matters.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise domestic and multinational clients on a wide range of employment and labour law issues including employment contracts, HR policies, compensation structures, termination matters, industrial disputes, disciplinary proceedings, employee misconduct, POSH compliance, internal investigations, labour law audits, due diligence for M&A transactions, workforce structuring, transfers, retrenchment strategy and represent clients before labour authorities, tribunals and other forums as necessary.
  • Draft and Negotiate Employment-Related Documentation: Draft and negotiate employment-related documentation and settlement agreements and stay abreast of developments in Indian employment law and contribute to knowledge management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including litigation, corporate, and compliance teams and supervise and mentor junior associates in the practice.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • LL.B. from a reputed Indian law school.
  • 7–12 years of post-qualification experience preferably with a top-tier law firm or leading in-house legal department.
  • Strong command of Indian labour laws, industrial regulations and case law developments.
  • Excellent legal drafting research and analytical skills.
  • Experience in handling sensitive investigations and employment litigation preferred.
  • Business-oriented mindset with excellent client-handling skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments independently and under deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative working style.
