Job Title: Surveillance Manager

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to excel in surveillance management, leading electronic and audio communication alerts for the EMEA region.

  • The ideal candidate will review and analyze alerts generated from automated electronic communication systems to detect potential policy violations and escalate when necessary.
  • Auditing voice communications of recorded employees to identify policy breaches and escalating to the appropriate department when required.
  • Closing alerts with accurate documentation for audit trail purposes.
  • Reviewing operating procedures and modifying them for approval as needed.
  • Driving improvement of the communication surveillance program from effectiveness and efficiency perspectives.
  • Supporting compliance investigations by gathering relevant information to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Reporting surveillance results to Senior Management with quantitative and qualitative metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing up-to-date techniques to address advanced market abuses and misconduct matters.
  • Maintaining regulatory awareness and incorporating this knowledge into surveillance systems.
  • Synergizing with multiple departments and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years' experience in Financial Services or Banking Compliance.
  • Profound understanding of market abuse topics.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound judgment and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
