Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of data governance programs
  • Build and support solutions for data governance in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
  • Enable enterprise-level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information
  • Support in implementing a solution for data cataloging with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership and access control management
  • Build custom integrations between the data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage
  • Support the enterprise in migrating from existing data sources to a data governance tool
  • Support in implementing a workflow management system to optimize, improve, and automate data governance workflows
  • Implement the means to track, investigate, and correct data quality issues in a data governance tool

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. to implement data governance programs
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies
  • Certifications on these tools are a plus
