Firmware Development Position

At our organization, we are looking for a skilled firmware developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing firmware for embedded systems.

  • The role involves creating, testing, and maintaining firmware while collaborating with hardware and software engineers.

We're seeking someone with 3–5 years of experience in firmware development, particularly on ESP-based platforms (ESP32, ESP8266). Proficiency in C/C++ programming and familiarity with Git for version control is essential.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C) and be proficient in using debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).

In addition to technical skills, the candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, participate in code reviews, and contribute to documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain software configuration control and ensure traceability of firmware versions.
  • Work on firmware flashing, OTA updates, and peripheral integration for ESP-based platforms.
  • Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/firmware integration issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers.
  • Experience with ESP-based firmware development (ESP32, ESP8266), including Wi-Fi/BLE stack integration.

Skills You'll Need:

  • Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Knowledge of standard communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, etc.).
  • Familiarity with embedded development environments and toolchains (Keil, IAR, GCC, ESP-IDF, Arduino IDE, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
