Embedded Systems Developer Opportunity

At AjnaLens, we're seeking a Junior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Thane, Maharashtra, India. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining firmware for embedded devices while collaborating closely with hardware and software teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems programming, specifically with ESP-based platforms (ESP32, ESP8266). Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers is essential. Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development is also required.

This role requires strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and exposure to ESP-based firmware development (ESP32, ESP8266) including Wi-Fi/BLE stack integration. Familiarity with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) or bare-metal programming is a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining software configuration control and ensuring traceability of firmware versions.
  • Working on firmware flashing, OTA updates, and peripheral integration for ESP-based platforms.
  • Optimizing firmware for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage.
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Nice-to-have skills include wireless communication (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa), IoT/cloud integration (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, MQTT), scripting in Python/Bash, Linux-based embedded development, and experience in agile practices.
