Job Title: Control SME Role

As a seasoned Control Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of building management systems (BMS) and electrical SCADA systems application specific controllers. Your extensive experience in programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC controls and electrical SCADA systems will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industry-standard electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, as well as controls/monitoring systems. They will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS improvement projects, developing data center vulnerability remediation playbooks for control system designs in conjunction with IT teams, and ensuring designs and installations meet requirements.

  • Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and level of efforts (LOE) to customer requests and stakeholders.
  • Manage BMS improvement project execution.
  • Assist in procurement activities, including request for quotation/proposals, responding to request for information, review of vendors' proposals, and issuance of purchase orders.
  • Support commissioning activities in data centers for Controls projects.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and research designs and methods of data center equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure designs and installations meet requirements, such as predicted cooling, structural, operational concerns, etc.
  • Develop data center vulnerability remediation playbooks for control system designs in conjunction with IT teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS communication protocol.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
