Senior Bookkeeper Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting principles, and legal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage trust accounting, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Record and reconcile attorney fees, expenses, and disbursements with accuracy.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping processes for clients, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Administer payroll processing and tax filings for clients.
  • Create and manage financial reports, budgets, and cash flow models.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with legal accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with legal professionals to understand specific accounting requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software efficiently to handle financial tasks.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline bookkeeping operations.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in USA bookkeeping, specifically handling accounts for legal clients.
  • CA Inter / CMA / CMA Inter educational background.
  • Strong knowledge of legal accounting principles and trust accounting regulations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and other accounting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
