Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software procurement, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring software products that meet company specifications. This role involves close collaboration with leaders in the organization to understand software needs and recommend the most appropriate solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Research and Evaluation

Conduct thorough research and evaluation of software products and services to meet company needs and requirements.

Negotiation and Contract Management

Negotiate with software vendors to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions for software purchases.

Procurement Process Management

Organize all procurement activities relating from Purchase Request to Purchase Order (PR to PO) in ERP systems.

Post-PO Tasks and Renewals

Manage all post-PO tasks and track renewals of all software subscriptions.

Compliance and Delivery

Ensure all purchased software products and services comply with company standards and specifications.

Software Maintenance and Support

Coordinate and manage the delivery, installation, and maintenance of software products and services.

Record Keeping and Monitoring

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.

Software Optimization Strategies

Monitor software usage and recommend software license optimization strategies.

Industry Trends Awareness

Maintain awareness of industry trends and developments in software products and services.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 5 to 15 years of experience in software procurement, preferably in a product company.
  3. Familiarity with software licensing and contract management.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  6. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
