Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to lead by example, manage a small team of engineers, and architect scalable backend systems.

This role combines deep technical ownership with hands-on leadership, ideal for someone ready to drive impact both through code and team growth.

  • Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and high performance.
  • Architect, develop, and optimize scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems using Node.js (Python is a bonus).
  • Own the design and implementation of databases, ensuring performance, integrity, and scalability across SQL and NoSQL systems.
Required Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 58 years of backend development experience, including team or tech leadership.
  • Deep expertise in Node.js, with production experience in building large-scale systems.
  • Strong understanding of system design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and message brokers.
  • Proven experience in database architecture: designing, scaling, and maintaining SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) solutions.
  • Hands-on with RESTful/GraphQL API development, authentication, rate-limiting, and caching.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes (Good to have)
