Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to design, implement and administer backend systems running on MySQL/MariaDB/MongoDB/RedisDB/Hadoop database infrastructure.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with hands-on expertise in database management, including MySQL/MariaDB RDBMS and related tools, MongoDB NoSQL and Cache(RedisDB) datastores, and experience working on Private as well Public IT Infrastructure clouds like AWS.

Main Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Design, implementation, automation, optimization, and ongoing operational administration of backend systems running on MySQL/MariaDB/MongoDB/RedisDB/Hadoop database infrastructure.
  • Servicing: Provide instant support and operational challenges of infrastructure platforms running database services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on Experience: MySQL/MariaDB RDBMS and related tools like Percona Xtrabackup,Percona-tool-kit & Maria Backup etc., MongoDB NoSQL and Cache(RedisDB) datastores, Private as well Public IT Infrastructure clouds like AWS.
  • Optimization and Troubleshooting: Experience on the optimization of database SQL or No-SQL queries, implementing best optimised and secure practices for RDS, NoSQL and Cache database stores, infra-resource planning, database upgrades/patching, backup/recovery and database troubleshooting.
  • Scalability and Performance: Should have working experience on all database support activities like Replication, Scalability, Availability, Performance tuning/optimisations on the database servers running large volumes of data.
  • Schema Design: Should have working experience on building highly scalable schema design for the application using No-SQL, RDBMS and Cache databases.
  • Hadoop Technologies: Good to have experience on Hadoop Technologies like HDFS, Hive, Flume, Hadoop, Spark etc.
  • Cassandra Distributed Database Management System: Good to have knowledge on Cassandra distributed database management system.
  • Bash Shell Scripts: Good to have experience writing Bash Shell Scripts.
