Job Title: Ecommerce Leadership Role

The successful candidate will oversee the full Profit and Loss (P&L) for their designated geography, setting ambitious revenue, margin, and Cost per Acquisition/Lifetime Value targets. This includes creating and executing a comprehensive growth strategy across Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), marketplaces, offline, and emerging channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast demand and manage end-to-end inventory to ensure stock-out levels are ≤2% and ageing stock is ≤4%
  • Define product-market fit, localize hero SKUs, craft new-product roadmaps, and sunset low-ROI lines
  • Collaborate with Research and Development (R&D) to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences
  • Orchestrate 360° marketing efforts, allocating budgets for maximum Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
  • Establish data pipelines and dashboards to track cohorts, repeat rates, and marketplace rankings in real-time
  • Negotiate with Third-Party Logistics (3PLs), payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams (growth, operations, Customer Success, retail, trade)
  • Champion customer obsession, mining Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to feed product updates and Customer Experience enhancements
  • Drive strategic partnerships to amplify reach
  • Ensure legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-like mandates
  • Present quarterly business reviews to Global Leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets
  • Deploy a test-and-learn culture, running A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers
  • Set up disaster-recovery and continuity plans for supply, logistics, ads, and key seller accounts
  • Benchmark competition, delivering actionable intelligence on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity
  • Act as the brand's cultural ambassador, embodying its ethos while driving high-performance execution

Qualifications:

  • Tier 1 college degree from an institution like Indian Institute of Management (IIM), XLRI, Management Development Institute (MDI), or Indian School of Business (ISB)
  • 10-17 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Retail industry (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Retail, Ecommerce)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical, data, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive and manage own tasks effectively, working independently and contributing to the team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
  • Organized with superior time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize under tight schedules
  • Self-accountability to follow-through with proper consistent updates to stakeholders
  • Proficiency with project-based tools like Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
