Job Title: Web Smart TV Application Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer to create engaging web applications for Smart TVs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of front-end development, particularly with Angular, and experience in developing and debugging web applications on Smart TVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop responsive and performant web applications for Smart TV platforms using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular.
  • Adapt Angular applications for deployment on TV-specific platforms such as Samsung Tizen and LG webOS.
  • Implement custom video players or integrate with existing video platforms like HLS.js and Shaka.
  • E nsure compatibility with different Smart TV operating systems and browsers.
  • Handle platform-specific APIs for media playback, storage, and hardware access.
  • Create remote control-friendly UIs (D-pad navigation, focus management).
  • Optimize layout and font sizes for 10-foot UI experiences.
  • Minimize app load times and memory usage.
  • Debug and optimize apps for performance on resource-constrained TV hardware.
  • Test applications across a wide range of Smart TV models and emulators.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Angular experience.
  • Experience developing and debugging web applications on Smart TVs.
  • Familiarity with video streaming technologies such as DRM and adaptive streaming.
  • Understanding of input management (remote controls, voice navigation).
