Project Manager Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of retail interior projects, from concept to completion. This includes managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring that all work is delivered on time, of high quality, and meets client expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing turnkey retail interior projects, including furniture and fittings, with an ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Manage and oversee the delivery of projects, including design, procurement, installation, and handover.
  • Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, suppliers, and designers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • CAD Drawings: Interpret and review technical drawings, layouts, and design plans to ensure alignment with client requirements and feasibility for implementation.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials, finishes, and installations, ensuring that all work complies with specifications and meets client expectations.
  • Vendor Management: Source and manage suppliers for furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks during project execution and implement mitigation plans.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, budgets, and issues, providing regular updates to clients and senior management.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of project management experience, specifically in the retail interior design and fit-out sector.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of advanced spreadsheet software for project tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
    • Familiarity with CAD software and ability to understand and review technical drawings and plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
