Job Title: IT Service Mapping Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Service Mapping professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow - ITOM, with expertise in designing, developing, and deploying service maps, working extensively with Discovery patterns, to accurately represent IT services and their underlying infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop service maps to accurately represent IT services and infrastructure
  • Possess a strong understanding of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and its relationship to IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • Develop and implement robust data mapping solutions to move and integrate data between ServiceNow and external systems
  • Create precise mappings between different data sources and ServiceNow objects, ensuring data integrity and consistency during migration and integrations
  • Assist in the integration of ServiceNow with external systems through middleware, APIs, and connectors
  • Work closely with development and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between ServiceNow and other applications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery & Service Mapping and integrating data
  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience specifically with ServiceNow - ITOM (CMDB, Service Mapping)
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow integration tools like Integration Hub, REST APIs, SOAP, MID Server, and other integration technologies
  • Experience working with Data Transformation tools (e.g., Import Sets, Data Sources, Transform Maps)
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) for mapping and transforming data
  • Knowledge of data modeling and mapping techniques in ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with SQL and querying relational databases
  • Experience with integration protocols (REST, SOAP, FTP, SFTP)
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices
