Strategic Data Governance Expert

We seek a forward-thinking professional to lead our data governance strategy, ensuring seamless management of enterprise-wide data initiatives.

This role will drive the development and execution of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards, fostering collaboration and accountability across teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in data governance, with expertise in strategic planning, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, quality, and accountability standards.
  • Lead cross-functional councils to ensure alignment on data management practices, governance policies, and compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to remediate data issues, improve data quality, and enhance trust in enterprise data assets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, with a focus on strategic planning, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong technical expertise, including proficiency in data management tools, metadata management, and data lineage monitoring.
  • Ability to create high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight and navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Foundational understanding of financial services industry, products, and services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
