Job Role Summary

The Security Operations Center SOC Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the security and compliance of an organization's systems, products, facilities, and assets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Security Implementation and Operations: Operationalize documented compliance policies and deliver day-to-day security operations and support to ensure optimal system performance and data protection.
  • Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of systems, applications, and facilities access; perform vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and recommend mitigating measures.
  • Incident Response: Assist with incident/event response and perform maintenance activities for applications and infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential security risks through proactive monitoring and analysis of threat landscapes.
  • Compliance Management: Assess and facilitate the compliance of the organization with external regulatory requirements that relate to security, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Policies and Standards: Contribute to the development of commercially acceptable policies and standards that mitigate risks to information, systems, products, facilities, and assets.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in information technology, including security and compliance
  • Technical knowledge of network, compute, and/or application security technologies
  • Strong understanding of the OSI model and its application in network security
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders and convey complex technical information
  • Inquisitive, motivated, and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
