Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

This role involves implementing, configuring, maintaining, and ensuring the performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience with Oracle Exadata systems, including configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting. They will also have expertise in managing Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and configuring Oracle Exadata systems
  • Maintaining and ensuring the performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems
  • Developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms
  • Ensuring operational readiness for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Additional relevant certifications and training a plus.

Candidates must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Bilingualism in English and local language an asset but not a requirement.
