Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions across our organization. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation.

This position demands a strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and VMware/Hyper-V environments, as well as experience with VMware vSphere Suite, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and vSAN for managing virtualized compute and storage environments.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and software-defined networking (SDN) using NSX, as well as familiarity with vRealize Operations (vROps), vRealize Automation (vRA), and Log Insight for performance monitoring, automation, and log analytics.

A key aspect of this role is analyzing workloads, right-sizing VMs, and optimizing resource allocation across clusters. The successful candidate will also have experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and configuring HA/DRS clusters for business continuity.

In addition, they will be proficient in using VMware Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) for patching, upgrades, and compliance, and able to automate tasks using PowerCLI, vRO workflows, or integration with tools like Ansible and Terraform.

  • Expertise in SAN/NAS storage systems, backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
  • Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kentik, Splunk, or New Relic
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and SD-WAN

Requirements:
10-16 years of experience
