About this Role

We're a pioneering AI-driven company in e-commerce. Over the next 1-2 years, we'll be focusing on transforming complex challenges into robust systems with tangible user impact.

This is a hands-on technical role with no people management responsibilities at the start. You'll be responsible for building the first versions of critical systems and then scaling them into reusable patterns as the team grows.

  • AI platform capabilities: Prompt orchestration, data retrieval, function calling, streaming UX, and evaluation guardrails.
  • High-throughput content processing: Ingestion pipelines, storage, delivery with observability and cost control.
  • Identity privacy and trust: Consent-driven flows, signed tokens, rate limits, audit trails, and abuse prevention.
  • Data platform: Normalize external data models, entities, and relationships, and expose clean APIs.
  • Product surfaces: Ship Flutter apps for buyers and sellers, and ReactJS dashboards with reliability and performance budgets.
  • Operational excellence: Monitoring, alerting, automated tests, incident playbooks, and a sane release cadence.

Requirements

  • 6 - 10+ years building production systems as the primary builder; exceptional earlier-career builders welcome with proof.
  • Hands-on experience with Java + Spring Boot, plus comfort with Python.
  • Exposure to Flutter or ReactJS in production.
  • Strong systems thinking, data models, performance budgets, and failure handling.
  • Security and privacy instincts, PII handling, consent flows, and audit trails.
  • Excellent written communication, crisp docs, READMEs, and runbooks.
