Backend Engineering Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, efficient systems that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. They will also have a solid understanding of database management systems, including MySQL, MongoDB, and ScyllaDB.

You will work closely with other engineers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our business. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks, and help maintain the overall quality of the codebase.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
  • Strong background in software development, with experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems, including MySQL, MongoDB, and ScyllaDB.
  • Experience with distributed, event-driven systems and solid understanding of fault tolerance, backpressure, and scalability.
  • Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch; able to tune systems for high throughput and sub-50ms latencies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a remote-first team.
