Job Overview

Core Responsibilities
  1. Ensure employee welfare, grievances, and disciplinary actions are effectively managed while maintaining a positive liaison with external stakeholders.
  2. Oversee HR administrative processes including time office & payroll, statutory compliance, security, facilities management, contract labor, and labor laws to ensure seamless operations.
Key Performance Areas
  1. Maintain accurate attendance records and resolve employee grievances in a timely manner to promote a harmonious work environment.
  2. Ensure correct attendance management for contract labor to optimize workforce utilization.
  3. Review and optimize payroll processes for operators, staff, and managerial cadre to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  4. Collaborate with central accounts to streamline payroll processes and minimize discrepancies.
Facilities Management & Security
  1. Efficiently manage gate control to secure plant property and employees, ensuring a safe working environment.
  2. Monitor and improve security team performance, coordinating with the security agency as needed to maintain high standards.
  3. Identify and mitigate risks to plant property and employees, engaging local authorities for support to prevent potential issues.
  4. Select and monitor contractors/ agencies for transportation, housekeeping, and gardening services to maintain a clean and green working environment.
Contract Labor Governance
  1. Audit and address contract labor management compliances and grievances to ensure fair treatment of all employees.
  2. Address contract employee grievances promptly to resolve issues quickly and fairly.
  3. Identify and mitigate risks through process changes to minimize potential problems.
Compliance & Legal Framework
  1. Review and complete PF activities efficiently, providing inputs to corporate accounts and submitting returns to the PF office to meet regulatory requirements.
  2. Evaluate and complete ESIC activities, submitting contributions and data to the ESIC office to ensure compliance.
  3. Fulfill labor law requirements, responding to inspections and notices from government authorities to avoid penalties.
  4. Update legal case status, collaborating with advocates and discussing future directions with leadership to drive progress.
Employee Engagement Agenda
  1. Distribute welfare items and conduct events according to the welfare calendar to foster a positive work culture.
  2. Strengthen grievance redressal processes and resolve employee grievances related to welfare and shopfloor issues to promote harmony.
  3. Design and implement employee involvement and welfare initiatives to boost morale and motivation.
  4. Support Sr. Manager in driving employee relations initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Stakeholder Management & Liaisoning
  1. Liaise effectively with local and government officials, police machinery, and other external stakeholders to build strong relationships.
  2. Engage in IR liaisoning with political influencers, union leaders, and local bodies to promote mutual understanding.
  3. Maintain a healthy relationship with the labor office to ensure smooth communication and cooperation.
  4. Draft replies to letters from unions, political parties, government authorities, and other external stakeholders to respond to queries and concerns.
Disciplinary Measures

Take disciplinary measures for misconducts, familiarize yourself with disciplinary inquiry processes and legal drafting to handle sensitive situations professionally.

Qualifications

Hold an MBA or MHRM degree with 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing plants, and possess Marathi language proficiency to excel in this role.
