Taxation Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with strong expertise in statutory compliances, transfer pricing, and tax audits to fill this role. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of income tax laws, transfer pricing regulations, and international taxation, along with hands-on experience in handling audits, compliance, and representations before tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Tax Documents: Prepare and review tax audits, transfer pricing documentation, income tax returns, and statutory forms based on applicable provisions.
  • Conduct Research: Conduct legal research and prepare appeals, submissions, and documentation for cases before assessing officers, CIT(A), DRP, and ITAT.
  • Represent Cases: Assist seniors in representing cases before tax authorities.
  • Provide Consultancy: Provide consultancy on TDS applicability and withholding tax implications for domestic and international transactions.
  • Advise Employee Tax Structures: Advise on employee tax structures and incentives to ensure tax-efficient compensation planning.
  • Coordinate Cross-Border Tax: Coordinate with overseas consultants to finalize tax returns as per local laws and analyze cross-border tax implications.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations while providing value-added tax advisory services.

Requirements

  • Experience Required: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in taxation, compliance, and audit.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in income tax law, computation, tax audits, and transfer pricing.
  • Software Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with SAP.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and drafting abilities.
  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA dropout with relevant experience.
