Key Responsibilities

This role involves collaborating with the finance internal function to provide support in financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and strategic leadership.

As a member of the Payroll/Expense/Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for managing and administering timely, accurate, and efficient processing of payroll operations. This includes maintaining payroll account ledgers, preparing reports, resolving payroll discrepancies, and performing routine internal audits.

You will also focus on recording and analyzing financial transactions, receiving and paying invoices, and preparing analysis and account reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in payroll issue resolution and knowledge in multi-state tax with emphasis in the following areas:

  • Understanding multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc) as well as federal and state regulations;
  • Understanding daily payroll department operations and industry-leading practices;
  • Accurately analyzing and reconciling payroll activity, identifying possible issues, making recommendations, and supporting conclusions;

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a resourceful and creative problem solver who can work independently and collaboratively with team members to find solutions using standard work solutions such as SAP R3, Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Warehouse, Oracle, etc.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in payroll issue resolution;
  • Knowledge in multi-state tax with emphasis in understanding multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc) as well as federal and state regulations;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately analyze and reconcile payroll activity, identify possible issues, make recommendations, and support conclusions;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work knowledgeably with ADP and/or Workday and maintain vendor relationships;

Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
