About the Job:

  • We are looking for a seasoned technical leader to spearhead our engineering team, leveraging their expertise in Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-performing teams, driving technical vision, and executing business objectives.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, deep technology knowledge, and excellent communication abilities to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage expertise in containerization technologies, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes clusters to drive innovation and efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute strategic plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  3. Develop and implement effective strategies for talent management, including hiring, staffing, and performance reviews.
  4. Mentor and guide engineers in their professional growth, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  5. Establish open lines of communication between engineering squads and IT leadership, promoting clear adherence to business requirements.
  6. Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and open communication within the team.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for adoption and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 9+ years of experience participating in delivery of solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines automation tools, like Jenkins or GitLab CICD, and version control systems, like Git.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
