About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Head to manage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and packaging essential for detergent manufacturing.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent coordination abilities, and a deep understanding of cost optimization in an FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Raw Material/Packaging Procurement: Source and procure key raw materials as per quality and quantity requirements.
  2. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and compliance with quality standards.
  3. Coordination & Communication: Act as a central point of contact between production, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.
  4. Market Intelligence & Cost Control: Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and inventory levels to ensure cost-effective buying decisions.
  5. Data Analysis & Reporting: Use analytical skills to track procurement KPIs, prepare reports, and support strategic sourcing decisions.
  6. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and maintain proper records and documentation for audits.

Key Result Areas (KRA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Raw Material & Packaging Procurement: 100% availability of raw and packing material as per production plan.
  • Average procurement lead time: 7 working days.
  • Vendor Development & Management: Minimum 3 new qualified vendors added annually for critical materials.
  • Annual negotiated cost savings: 5% on key categories.
