Job Description

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a mobile application for livestock management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the product's mobile app, with a focus on creating a user-friendly interface and developing efficient front-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Design and develop mobile applications using React Native, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Maintain a high standard of engineering and coding practices, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in building mobile apps using React Native.
  • Proficiency in the Typescript ecosystem, including monorepos.
  • Understanding of interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps.
  • Ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Your First Six Months

You will:

  • Develop a mobile app that allows farmers to view their farm map with multiple layers and annotations.
  • Work with various aspects of the map feature.
  • Create virtual polygons to plot the region for their farms on the map.
  • Annotate the polygons with points of interest.
  • Generate heat maps of the farm livestock activity.
  • Integrate with APIs to let farmers view their livestock on the map.
