As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the planning, implementation, performance tuning, and maintenance of enterprise relational database platforms. Your strong background in database service delivery and operations will enable you to drive key organizational initiatives and deliver high-quality results.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Provide expert support for development, test, and production environments, including installation, upgrades, performance optimization, and decommissions of Oracle databases.
  • Security & Recovery: Administer security access controls and perform necessary security patch implementations. You will also be responsible for recovering databases during disaster recovery events.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Recommend and implement automation opportunities for operational work and process improvements. You will follow, review, and recommend updates to support documentation as needed.
  • Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with technical leads on database design decisions to ensure applications have high levels of performance and security. You will investigate and resolve technical database issues and participate in a rotational 24x7 On-Call Support.
  • Storage & Clusters: Possess a strong understanding of how to support and use NAS storage and cluster technologies.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience administering Oracle Database and related services and monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrable experience automating database provisioning, patching, and administration.
  • Experience with various DB toolsets for performance review, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of ITIL frameworks and standard methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Oracle RAC and Data Guard is highly desirable.
  • Experience using Ansible for automation is a plus.
  • Experience supporting PostgreSQL databases is a plus.
  • Experience working on regulated systems (preferably in the pharmaceutical sector) is a plus.
  • Database certifications (OCA) are preferred.
  • A Master's degree with relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with extensive experience in Information Systems and Database Administration.
