Job Description

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing new products and optimizing existing formulations, focusing on solid and liquid dosage forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the execution of new formulation development by investigating API characteristics and viability, safety, and compatibility with other ingredients.
  • To plan and coordinate lab scale-up/optimization and pilot batches, ensuring strict adherence to lab GMP systems.
  • To develop R&D plans and experimental designs using QBD principles for new product development projects and processes.
  • To effectively communicate with technology transfer teams, production teams, and other departments to ensure seamless project completion.
  • To optimize existing product performance by investigating API characteristics and finished products.
  • To monitor stability protocols, interpret results, and advance product development activities accordingly.
  • To prepare departmental SOPs, manuals, and guidelines documents as required.
  • To ensure proper training of subordinates, technicians, and housekeeping personnel on equipment, instruments, and systems.

Qualifications & Pre-Requisites:

  • Master in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics)
  • Formulation development experience in solid and liquid oral; preference given to pellets project experience.
