Job Title: Senior SQL Server Database Administrator

We are seeking a seasoned SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, security, and performance of our SQL Server databases.

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-availability solutions for SQL Server databases, including Always On and Geo-Replication configurations.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or data loss.
  • Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing, and configuring query execution plans.
  • Configure and manage access controls, security policies, and compliance standards for SQL Server databases.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design, develop, and deploy databases that meet business requirements and are scalable, secure, and performant.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to SQL Server databases, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with hands-on experience in Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Strong experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing database queries and execution plans.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
  • Proven track record of successful migration projects from on-premises SQL Server to Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and database deployments.
