We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

  • As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our SQL Server databases. This includes installing/upgrading/migrating SQL Servers, applying patches or service packs, and configuring high availability/disaster recovery solutions.
  • You will also configure automated alerts to notify the team of any issues and work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets. Additionally, you will set up maintenance plans for backups, database integrity checks, rebuild indexes, update statistics, and ensure all jobs run without issues.
  • Troubleshooting locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts, and fixing them is also a key part of this role. You will join bridge calls to troubleshoot and fix P1 and P2 incidents and have hands-on experience in Always On and DB Mirroring.
  • Execute changes to db schema, maintain a controlled development environment, and work closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands.
  • Handle database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production and provide day-to-day support of high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases. Identify root causes of production problems and work with developers to resolve such issues.
  • Work on performance tuning, creating missing indexes, and be willing to work in 24X7 projects. Experience in scripting using Perl, PowerShell, and AWS/Azure is highly desirable.

Added Advantage:

  • Certification in SQL Server or experience with SQL Cloud-based solutions would be an added advantage.
