Job Title: Sr. Technical Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vessel Maintenance & Performance: Monitor and manage vessel maintenance and repairs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Dry Docking & Repairs: Plan and supervise dry-docking, major repairs, and maintenance schedules, adhering to international regulations and company standards.
  • Budget Management: Prepare operational budgets for vessel maintenance and procurement of spare parts, demonstrating strong financial acumen.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure vessels comply with international maritime regulations, flag state requirements, and company policies, maintaining high levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Promote a culture of safety within the fleet, adhering to environmental regulations and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Chief Engineer (COC Class 1) or equivalent seagoing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical management of ships, demonstrating leadership skills and strategic thinking.
  • Familiarity with classification societies, flag state requirements, and international maritime regulations.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience managing a fleet of vessels and working with multinational crew and stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills for budget and cost control, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

This role requires close coordination with vessel crews, ship owners, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with international regulations, class requirements, and company standards.
