As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic sales planning and customer relationship management. Your primary objective is to achieve sales targets by identifying potential clients, highlighting their requirements, and forecasting market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive sales plans for assigned territories/verticals by analyzing market data, identifying opportunities, and outlining target client engagement strategies.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance on a regular basis, highlighting deviations from targets, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure seamless execution of sales budgets at the territory level, aligning with company goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple channels, developing tailored pursuit plans to maximize success rates.
- Collaborate with clients to negotiate and finalize product specifications, payment terms, and timelines, ensuring mutual understanding and approval.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers to understand their evolving needs, providing swift resolution to any queries or issues.
- Recognize and report opportunities for integrated solutions involving Motors/Automation Products Systems, informing senior management.
- Document and communicate customer specifications to relevant departments, ensuring timely delivery and efficient order fulfillment.
- Work closely with operations teams to guarantee the prompt execution of orders within agreed-upon timelines and criteria.
- Communicate changes in order specifications to concerned departments, ensuring seamless project progression.
- Collect payments from clients according to contractual agreements, maintaining a strong cash flow.
- Ensure timely dispatch of goods to clients' sites as per delivery schedules, adhering to service level agreements.
- Maintain policies/processes that enhance response quality and minimize response time to customer inquiries, providing necessary support.
- Establish service centers or partner with agencies to provide quick after-sales services to customers, improving overall satisfaction.
- Provide technical support to customers on after-sales-related issues, resolving queries promptly.
- Address all customer complaints within predefined timelines, upholding high standards of customer service.
- Log and update all customer interaction activities in appropriate systems, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Respond to customer queries/issues during finalization/execution/post-execution sales in a timely manner, maintaining a positive reputation.
- Collaborate with distributors/dealers in the territory, escalating significant issues to superiors when necessary.
- Effectively manage dealer activities, including stock booking, invoicing, and payment processing.
- Stay informed about developments in the territory, providing insights to the marketing team on potential opportunities for expansion/diversification into new markets/geographies.
