This role involves leading the identification and development of emerging business opportunities. Key responsibilities include conducting continuous scanning of the IoT ecosystem to identify new technologies, business models, competitor moves, and untapped market spaces.

  • Develop insightful research and synthesis reports on long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to current business strategies.
  • Design and execute rigorous validation processes for new opportunity hypotheses, utilizing primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.

Incubation & Growth Strategy

  • For validated opportunities, lead the initial incubation phase, defining product-market fit, building minimal viable products (MVPs) or prototypes, and running pilot programs with early customers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to accelerate the incubation process, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across teams.

Ecosystem Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build and leverage a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities, driving strategic growth and collaboration.

Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Clearly and persuasively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership, informing strategic investment decisions and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy roles within technology context, with proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases from ground up.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity, developing structure around poorly defined problems.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, influencing senior stakeholders effectively.

Preferred:

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through launch, driving successful product-market fit and scalability.
