Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain database architecture, including data modeling, normalization, and indexing.
  2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server instances, including setup and configuration of SQL Agent jobs.
  3. Develop and implement backup and restore strategies, including recovery models and database maintenance on production support.
  4. Work with CDC (Change Data Capture) using Debezium/Kafka for real-time data sync and basic knowledge on Always On Availability Groups.
  5. Perform performance tuning and debugging of stored procedures and SQL jobs.
  6. Collaborate with development teams to ensure database designs meet business requirements.
  7. Stay up-to-date with latest SQL Server technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 architecture, SSMS, and SQL Agent.
  • Practical experience in SQL Server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with GitLab/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts (including nights and weekends, as required).
