Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer with RAP Expertise

Overview:

The SAP ABAP Developer with RAP Expertise position is a critical role in the development and maintenance of SAP solutions at Viraaj HR Solutions. This position is responsible for designing, building, and testing high-quality SAP ABAP programs and interfaces using the latest SAP technologies to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance SAP applications using ABAP programming language
  • Design, build, and implement ABAP-based reports, interfaces, and forms
  • Create and optimize ABAP code for performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions
  • Implement and customize SAP Fiori applications using ABAP programming
  • Utilize ABAP Development Workbench for development and customization activities
  • Perform debugging and troubleshooting of ABAP programs and interfaces
  • Ensure adherence to ABAP best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct ABAP unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing
  • Manage and maintain SAP HANA database objects and SAP RAP applications
  • Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to support teams
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical expertise
  • Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Support SAP module implementations and upgrades
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ABAP developers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP programming with RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming)
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented ABAP programming (OO ABAP)
  • Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development Workbench and SAP Fiori programming
  • Experience in optimizing ABAP code for performance and scalability
  • Solid understanding of SAP HANA and database integration with SAP ABAP
  • Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex ABAP programs and interfaces
  • Hands-on experience in ABAP unit testing and test-driven development
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve technical issues
  • Knowledge of SAP module integration and understanding of business processes in SAP
  • Certification in SAP ABAP development is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new SAP technologies and advancements
