AI Systems Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned AI engineer to join our team. As a hybrid of a data scientist, computer scientist, and software engineer, you will thrive on building, experimenting, and deploying real systems at scale.

This role involves designing and building AI systems that power products used across multiple ventures. You will architect APIs, microservices, and data systems that integrate into live products, prototype generative AI tools, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and autonomous agents—and push them into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Build AI Systems: Develop end-to-end pipelines for data ingestion, cleaning, embeddings, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Engineer Scalable Infrastructure: Architect APIs, microservices, and data systems that integrate into live products.
  • Experiment and Ship: Prototype generative AI tools, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and autonomous agents—and push them into production.
  • Full-Stack Thinking: Move fluidly between model work, backend engineering, and systems design.
  • Collaborate Across Ventures: Work alongside product managers, designers, and founders to bring new AI-powered ventures to life.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming background in Python, Node.js, or similar with deep comfort in software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
  • Knowledge of data engineering and databases including SQL/NoSQL, vector DBs like Pinecone/Weaviate, cloud storage.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with retrieval systems, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
  • A builder's mindset comfortable taking ownership from zero-to-one.
  • Experience with multi-modal systems including text, voice, vision.
  • Interest in generative agents, conversational AI, or recommendation engines.
  • Previous work in startups or venture studios.
