Job Overview

The role of Senior Associate entails overseeing the management of various private equity funds, analyzing their performance, and creating reports. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and update portfolio details of diverse private equity funds
  • Update pre-defined investor-specific quarterly reporting templates
  • Analyze fund performance by reviewing cash flows and quarterly/financial reports
  • Calculate valuation data, including investment cost, realized/unrealized value, gross/net multiple, gross/net IRR, and financial KPIs like revenue, EBITDA, net debt, and valuation/leverage multiples
  • Track operational KPIs and provide updates on a quarterly basis
  • Maintain and update fund track records, reconciling data using cash flow notices
  • Calculate fund multiples and IRRs using cash flows and perform attribution and value creation analysis
  • Reconcile portfolio-level operational data, including geographical presence, headquarters, and portfolio leverage
  • Collaborate with teams to obtain necessary information and communicate with clients regarding task status

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree or equivalent certification
  • 1-10 years of experience in relevant financial services, including management reporting or operational finance, with some research experience preferred
  • Experience with front-end development, Power BI, Microsoft Access is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, and emphasis on producing high-quality work
  • Experience working independently, identifying ways to enhance processes, procedures, or outcomes that benefit the organization
  • Ability to prioritize a large workload, managing multiple tasks and details simultaneously
  • Ability to show initiative, willingness to learn, and take on responsibilities as a contributing team member
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
