Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Design Engineer to join our team at UST. As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating 3D models and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with expertise in CAD design. They should have experience working with plastic tool makers and injection molders, as well as proficiency in Creo software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create complex 3D models and parts using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design for manufacture requirements.
  • Apply good design practices and experience with DFMEA to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Develop and maintain mechanical engineering design and analysis skills, including structural analysis of molded parts.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in CAD design.
  • Highly proficient in CAD software, specifically Creo.
  • Experience working with plastic tool makers and injection molders.
  • Strong knowledge of part design, GD&T, and SPI standards for plastic design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
