Complex Financial Instruments Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Complex Financial Instruments Specialist to join our Valuation Team. This role will provide an opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging projects that involve complex financial instruments and derivatives, including convertible instruments, embedded derivatives, earn-outs, interest rate derivatives, common and preferred stock, and other securities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective sales and marketing processes, as well as networking with peers in other geographic markets and areas of assurance, tax, and business consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with centers of influence and professionals.
  • Effectively manage overall client relationships to exceed client satisfaction.
  • Manage the fundamentals, such as realization, utilization, leverage, accounts, receivable, and expenses.
  • Be a thought leader and mentor, coach, and train staff.
  • Successfully integrate strategy of the firm and heighten the RSM brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing the RSM marketing campaign and programs supported by the firm.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Quantitative Field (Math, Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or related area of study) preferred; MBA or other Master's a plus.
  • Professional Certifications: ABV/CPA, ASA or CFA.
  • Experience valuing complex financial instruments.
  • Experience with Option Pricing Models, Monte Carlo, and Binomial Models.
  • Experience in Monte Carlo programs (@risk, Crystal Ball), Lattice models, coding (MatLab, R, etc.), Bloomberg, etc.
