Job Title: Software Engineering Director

Description:

  • As a seasoned Test Architect, you will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for quality engineering in the context of transformation.
  • You will have experience in Transition & Transformation with COE expertise for QA, QE, test automation, agile process development (DevOps), any Cloud, service virtualization, test data management, CI/CD/CT.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and developing tools, test automation frameworks for various components and/or systems, defining and executing E2E test strategies for major releases comprising complex modules/features/components.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to understand the big picture and link dependencies between various features/components, continuously enhance product/domain knowledge, and retrospect gaps in test frameworks to enhance coverage.
  • Advanced programming skills in high-level languages/scripting and ability to appreciate design and architecture choices are essential.
  • Strong hands-on experience on scripting languages & tooling (Robot Framework, Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, Core Java, Python, Groovy) along with virtualization and test data management is required.
  • Good exposure on API automation (SoapUI, Karate Framework etc.) is also necessary.

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of experience as a Test Architect
  • COE expertise for QA, QE, test automation, agile process development (DevOps), any Cloud, service virtualization, test data management, CI/CD/CT
  • Experience in Transition & Transformation
  • Design and develop tools, test automation frameworks for various components and/or systems
  • Define and execute E2E test strategy for a major release comprising complex modules/features/components
  • Aligns with Product Architect and ensures testability to achieve 100% test coverage
  • Focus on continuous improvements and optimization through test automation executed in CI approach, utilizing methodologies/test techniques, deriving best practices
  • Lead all test automation efforts in your area, reviewing designs and code written by other quality engineers and being a technical mentor for test engineers to develop their programming skills
