Project EHS Manager

Alstom is a leading company in the mobility sector, and we are seeking an experienced EHS Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS risk assessments and mitigation strategies for projects.
  • Prepare and maintain emergency response plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control EHS risks associated with subcontractors and interfaces with other contractors or operational areas.
  • Stop any operational activity that poses an immediate high risk to people or the environment.
  • Assist, coach, and assess EHS teams in projects and provide support during project execution.
  • Communicate with social and medical partners and ensure EHS compliance with Alstom standards and tools.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, contractual, and company requirements and propose corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of projects.
  • Monitor historical pollution and associated risks.
  • Develop and implement EHS training plans and programs.
  • Ensure accidents and incidents are prevented, reported, recorded, investigated, and analyzed.
  • Prepare and submit monthly EHS reports and ensure data quality.

Performance Measurements:

  • Injury Frequency Rate (IFR) 1 and IFR 2.
  • Fatality/severe accidents.
  • Safety Observation Visit number or other leading indicators.
  • Health and wellbeing (Occupational diseases, ergonomics).
  • Environment (Energy, water, waste, TOPE, Volatile Organic Compound, etc.).

Educational Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) along with a full-time degree/Diploma in Safety from a recognized institution.

2. Two-year duration full-time regular program of M.E in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution.

Preferably from Mechanical/Electrical full-time Engineering.

Experience: 10-12 years of experience in Metro projects, with at least 5 years of experience in the capacity of Chief Safety Officer/Manager of similar projects.
