Meat Production Manager

Job Description
">- Lead the operation of a butcher shop, overseeing daily activities and production.
- Serve as a role model for staff, demonstrating high standards of quality and customer service.
- Responsible for meat preparation, thawing, and storage according to company protocols.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety regulations and ensure compliance in all areas of the shop.
- Clean and maintain the butcher shop and thawing rooms according to schedule, adhering to company standards.
- Prepare workstations and equipment for inspections and maintenance, ensuring they are always ready for use.
- Procure and store meats and poultry in freezers and thawing rooms as needed, following established procedures.
- Monitor product yields and portions, guaranteeing adherence to company standards.
- Conduct daily butcher recaps and assist with inventory management, providing accurate reports and data.
- Ensure staff are present, uniformed, and well-maintained, with attention to personal appearance and hygiene, promoting a positive work environment.
- Participate in USPH inspections, attending meetings and training activities as required, staying up-to-date on industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">- A minimum of two years' experience as a Head Butcher in an upscale environment.
- Culinary school degree or equivalent required.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Excellent customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Knowledge of personalized service standards and techniques, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Intermediate computer software skills, with proficiency in relevant systems and tools.
