MEP Engineering Expert

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineer to join our team. As an MEP engineer, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing building systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review mechanical system designs, including HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, ductwork, piping, drainage, and domestic water systems.
  • Assess design adequacy, code compliance, spatial coordination, and constructability.
  • Flag issues related to equipment placement, access, serviceability, and long-term maintenance.
  • Evaluate energy efficiency measures and system optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with electrical and architectural disciplines for integrated MEP reviews.
  • Document technical comments and actively support resolution with project stakeholders.
  • Promote clarity in design intent, system selection, and compliance with owner standards.
  • Participate in technical workshops, design audits, and peer reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design, commissioning, or design review.
  • Sound knowledge of applicable codes (ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, NFPA, local regulations).
  • Proficient in reviewing layouts, equipment schedules, and system schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with software like AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and HVAC sizing tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and spot coordination or design issues quickly.
Preferred
  • Experience in commercial, retail, or mixed-use development projects.
  • Familiarity with green building practices (LEED, IGBC).
  • Excellent communication and inter-discipline coordination skills.
