Job Title: Senior Lending Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Lending Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our lending operations, you will be responsible for conducting thorough deal evaluations, assessing industry trends and business conditions to create comprehensive credit memos with financial models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth deal analysis, evaluating financial statements, cash flow projections, and industry research to determine creditworthiness.
  • Present deals to senior management in a clear and concise format, providing recommendations and insights.
  • Oversee the disbursement of sanctioned deals, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Prepare and submit timely and detailed monthly/quarterly monitoring reports to top management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • E nsure prompt interest and principal repayments, maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, using this knowledge to inform assessment decisions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and management trainees, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow professionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in finance, accounting, and credit principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • In-depth knowledge of underwriting in corporate/wholesale lending, including credit risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry cycles and financial ratios, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Hands-on experience in Credit Memo preparation, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, able to create, read, and maintain models in MS Excel, with a strong understanding of data visualization techniques.
