We are seeking a seasoned Accounting and Taxation Manager to lead our financial and tax functions. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial management, tax strategy, and leadership skills to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, statements, and tax returns for diverse clients, including individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and super funds.
  • Develop and submit accurate business activity statements (BAS) for clients.
  • Pursue various tax matters, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and Division 7A, which deals with loans by private companies to shareholders.
  • Provide expert business advisory services, encompassing management accounting, board report packs, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and succession planning.
  • Analyze and identify issues and opportunities, and suggest strategic solutions.
  • Enhance prior year performance rather than following past year assignments.
  • Conduct thorough research through laws and form informed opinions.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, monitoring and guiding them.
  • Review and evaluate at a high level.

Qualifications:
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications like CPA, CMA, or CA are highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues. Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is crucial to ensure the precision of financial statements and tax returns. Experience with Xero and Xero practice tools is beneficial.
