Finance and Operations Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Finance and Operations Specialist to work closely with our UAE client on a part-time freelance basis, approximately 4 hours per day. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in MS Dynamics 365 F&O implementations and strong business process knowledge.

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a MS D365 Finance & Operations implementation specialist.
  • The position requires expertise in configuring and customizing various modules within D365 F&O, including Sales, Finance, SCM, Procurement, Inventory, and others.
  • A critical aspect of the role is collaborating with the technical team to ensure proper implementation of solutions.
  • Data migration, testing, and go-live support are also essential responsibilities.
  • Global project delivery is expected, involving collaboration with clients across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting functional specifications, and designing scalable solutions in D365 F&O are key objectives.
  • Modules such as Finance, Procurement & Sourcing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain Management require customization.
  • This role involves leading and participating in end-to-end implementation cycles, encompassing requirement workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, testing, data migration, training, and post-go-live support.
  • Collaboration with technical consultants, developers, and integration teams is necessary for delivering robust solutions.
  • Providing production support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring business continuity are critical aspects.
  • Conducting UAT sessions and user training workshops is also required.
  • Preparation of project documentation, including Business Process Documents, Functional Design Documents, and Training Manuals, is an essential responsibility.
  • Staying up-to-date with Microsoft D365 F&O roadmap, new features, and best practices to recommend process improvements is vital.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in Finance & Operations modules is expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a D365 F&O (or AX) Functional Consultant.
  • Strong expertise in key modules: Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash & Bank Management), Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, Sales & Distribution).
  • Experience in Fit-Gap analysis, business process mapping, and solution design.
  • Proficiency in preparing functional documentation and test scripts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead small to medium implementation projects.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate / Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate.
  • Experience with global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
