SAP is seeking a seasoned IT Technology Services Senior Specialist to join our team as a Business Continuity Automation Owner for Sybase ASE. As a key member of our Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) team, you will play a crucial role in enabling the delivery of robust, downtime-optimized, and highly automated lifecycle management activities.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of integration scenarios and operational processes, driving accelerated growth through RISE with SAP.
- Focus on increasing automation in Business Continuity, covering multi-cloud aspects (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) with a focus on Sybase ASE, Hana, MSSQL databases, High Availability, Pacemaker, cluster setup, and integration scenarios.
- Optimize and stabilize NetWeaver lifecycle management procedures in a proactive manner, leveraging analytical tools and capabilities.
- Structure and coordinate activities, action plans, including requirements engineering, prioritization, and creating aligned timelines for deliverables.
- Create and align test plans, support, and perform testing/validation and roll-out activities.
- Drive issue resolution together with the team and utilize the expert network.
- Support technology-related projects in complex environments.
- Manage relationships between different stakeholder groups inside and outside ECS Delivery.
Your Qualifications:
- Strong SAP BASIS, Sybase ASE Database administration, and system operations know-how, ideally in a multi-cloud environment.
- Professional experience in Cloud infrastructure, system administration, or as a technical consultant in SAP cloud implementation.
- Expertise in Business Continuity, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery topics on ASE Database.
- Best practices experience in an SAP application/technology/solution (NetWeaver).
- Knowledge in design and structuring of integrated E2E Lifecycle Management Procedures.
- Project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and experience working in international teams.
- Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.).
