Urban Sustainability Specialist

The City Accelerator Program is a national initiative that aims to reduce the carbon footprint of cities and promote sustainable development. The program focuses on scaling rooftop solar adoption in urban areas, with a particular emphasis on three selected cities in Assam: Barpeta, Dibrugarh, and Guwahati.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate among stakeholders at national, state, and city levels to ensure seamless program implementation.
  2. Promote and facilitate rooftop solar adoption through community engagement, demand aggregation, and support to consumers and vendors.
  3. Develop and maintain dashboards, management information system reports, and periodic updates for partner agencies.
  4. Organize city-level capacity building, IEC campaigns, and establish grievance redressal systems.
  5. Collect feedback on policy and identify regulatory and operational bottlenecks.
  6. Maintain close coordination with the central RTS Cell and ensure alignment with national guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.
  • Good understanding of solar energy and sustainability concepts.
